The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Havirov as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Havirov smashed 10th ranked Strakonice at home 88-62. Havirov looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Strakonice's players. Point guard Lucie Valkova (170-2005) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Swingman Veronika Szabo (175-2003) contributed with a triple-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Five Havirov players scored in double figures. Point guard Anastazie Peskova (167-2006) answered with 23 points and forward Adela Junkova (178-2004) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Strakonice. Havirov have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Zabiny Brno B. Strakonice at the other side keeps the tenth place with six games lost. Strakonice will play next round against Sparta trying to get back on the winning streak. Havirov will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Olomouc on the road.
